At the beginning of 2024, the renovation was completed during ongoing park operations. GOLDBECK Parking Services will operate the car park on a long-term lease.

Originally built in the 1970s, the car park covers a total area of around 7,500 square metres with just about 300 parking spaces. GOLDBECK Parking Services refurbished large sections of the car park within 8 months while the car park remained in operation. The project volume was about one million euros.
The result is a multi-storey car park with a significantly longer remaining service life and an attractive parking experience for the Mönchengladbach region.
1/3 Renovation of multi-storey car park
The renovation of the spindle-shaped building was a challenge due to its sloping and circular surfaces. The entire building was first digitally scanned and converted into a 3D model so that it could be captured in its entirety. This ‘digital twin’ was the basis for the customised development of a refurbishment concept.
As part of the renovation work, our team of experts removed some of the wall and support plinths and repaired them. In addition, the drainage system was readjusted, driveways and car parks were repaired and new high-speed access gates were installed for a higher security standard.
