Combining existing and new construction

Module and pack production for a Battery factory

 

In 2024, the first European battery factory for SVOLT, developer and producer of lithium-ion batteries and battery systems for electric vehicles, was built in Heusweiler. Pre-produced battery cells are processed into modules and packs at the site. On behalf of the project company Batteriefabrik Heusweiler, GOLDBECK realised around 36,000 m² of industrial building surface area in just 18 months. 

 

Sustainable project details: 

 

  • The factory building is heated by using future-oriented heat pumps
  • With pre-equipment for a photovoltaic system
  • A total of 20 charging points for e-mobility
