Financial year 2025/26: Goldbeck achieves order intake of €7.3 billion
Market presence across Europe
Goldbeck operates from 122 locations in 21 countries. The company generated around 33 per cent of its total turnover outside Germany. In 2025/26, Goldbeck completed 526 buildings across the asset classes of logistics and manufacturing, offices, schools, multi-storey car parks, fire stations as well as and residential buildings. Goldbeck Services manage 2,478 properties, including multi-storey car parks, office buildings and public facilities. “The situation in building construction remains challenging, with contribution margins under pressure due to a range of external conditions. Against this backdrop, the increase in order intake demonstrates that our understanding of future-ready buildings meets the needs of the market. Our products create the conditions for working, doing business and living together,” says Jörg-Uwe Goldbeck, Co-CEO of Goldbeck.
Growing demand: residential buildings, schools and security infrastructure
Goldbeck continues to record rising order volumes in residential construction. With order intake exceeding €1 billion (previous year €691 million), residential construction is the company’s fastest-growing product segment. Goldbeck has completed around 5,000 residential units to date, with approximately 8,000 more currently under construction. Public-sector clients are increasingly placing their trust in Goldbeck as a general contractor for their construction projects: this also applies to schools, fire stations as well as security infrastructure. For example, the federal state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania commissioned Goldbeck under a framework agreement to construct up to 58 fire stations.
Strategic entry into the US market
For the first time, Goldbeck is expanding directly into the US market. The company has established a joint venture with Mortenson, one of the largest construction companies in the United States, based in Minneapolis. “Entering the US market opens up new growth potential for Goldbeck. Our system-based construction approach sets us apart from local competitors. We are delighted to have Mortenson at our side as a strong partner with an excellent understanding of the local market and capabilities that optimally complement our design and construction expertise,” says Jan-Hendrik Goldbeck, Co-CEO of Goldbeck.
Integrated provider of digital infrastructure
Goldbeck is positioning itself as an integrated pan-European data center provider. The company covers the entire value chain, from design and construction through to the commissioning of data centers. Its capabilities include Critical Building, the Lyon-based design and consulting specialist that joined the company last year, as well as its partnership with Austrian plant engineering specialist Zaunergroup, in which Goldbeck acquired a 50 per cent stake at the beginning of this year.
By combining the expertise of these companies, Goldbeck can provide customers with complex and technically demanding combinations of buildings and technical installations from a single source. This digital focus is also reflected in the company’s own processes: Goldbeck uses artificial intelligence to make workflows along the value chain more efficient. Through vibe coding, the company is also exploring new forms of AI-assisted software development.
Research into sustainability innovations
Since the beginning of 2026, Goldbeck has also been advancing sustainability innovations at its Concrete Innovation Center in Hamm. There, the company is conducting research into the decarbonisation of concrete. In the 2030s, Goldbeck aims to produce precast concrete elements with net-zero emissions. The Siemens Campus in Erlangen demonstrates how Goldbeck uses sustainability innovations as a driver of progress. In Module 8, Goldbeck delivered four office buildings and a multi-storey car park. When awarding the contract, Siemens and Goldbeck defined a binding maximum CO₂ value per square metre of usable floor space for the first time. The project outperformed this target by almost 20 per cent.
Values-based action at Goldbeck
More than 14,000 employees work for Goldbeck at 122 locations throughout Europe. Particularly in challenging times, the company’s values provide guidance. “Humanity, mutual trust, personal responsibility, performance and a pioneering spirit shape our actions every day. They also set the standard for how we take responsibility for society and the environment and fulfil our aspiration to design the living spaces of the future,” says Jörg-Uwe Goldbeck.
