To ensure the project proceeds smoothly, Goldbeck Technical Solutions has divided the building complex into three construction phases. Construction phase one with 120 flats, in which construction work already started at the end of November 2023, is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2024 and the tenants will be able to move back in. Construction phase two with 52 flats will follow at the beginning of 2025, and construction phase three, also with 52 flats, is scheduled for completion in mid-2025.
As part of the construction and services company Goldbeck, Goldbeck Technical Solutions is benefiting from its broad expertise in new construction in this extensive project, as its product division for residential buildings has already built over 1,000 new residential units. “We are working closely with the city of Herne to make the entire building complex attractive, liveable and marketable. Our goal is to create modern and affordable living space, which is so urgently needed. The people of Herne deserve to have their home invested in - in a sustainable way,“ says Patrick Möller, Managing Director of Goldbeck Technical Solutions GmbH.
Herne is located between Bochum in the south, Gelsenkirchen in the west and Recklinghausen in the north. The flats to be renovated are located in the Wanne-Eickel area of the city's west.
