The construction and services company Goldbeck, which operates throughout Europe, has begun with the construction of a new employee car park for Premium AEROTEC, a business unit of Airbus, in Augsburg. There will be space for 807 vehicles on around 13,500 square metres spread over 13 levels. With a green façade and photovoltaic systems, the car park focuses on sustainability. A retention roof contributes to the controlled infiltration of rainwater and supports environmental protection.  This is the 1,400th car park contract for Goldbeck.

On 19 May 2025, Goldbeck officially started with the construction of the new employee car park for Premium AEROTEC in Augsburg. The car park will go into operation at the beginning of 2026. Premium AEROTEC has already commissioned Goldbeck with the construction of another employee car park at the Taufkirchen site near Munich. Goldbeck's systematised construction method enables the car parks to be built quickly and economically: Goldbeck prefabricates key construction elements industrially in its own factories and assembles them on site to create turnkey buildings. ‘We systematise everything that is invisible and individualise what is visible,’ explains Daniel Kriest, Project Manager at Goldbeck. ‘This is how we ensure the highest quality.’

Focus on sustainability

The car park will have a trapezoidal sheet metal façade and a green façade, which offers not only aesthetic but also ecological benefits: The green façade promotes biodiversity. A special highlight is the retention roof: this is a special roof system that temporarily stores rainwater and allows it to run off in a controlled manner. Goldbeck is also installing a photovoltaic system that produces renewable electricity with an output of around 110 kWp. Individual parking space registration with sensors and LED displays at the parking spaces ensures a high level of user-friendliness and efficient utilisation of parking capacity, avoids lengthy searches for parking spaces and thus reduces CO2 emissions.

1,400th car park from Goldbeck

The multi-storey car park is also special for Goldbeck: the company has been building car parks for over 40 years. The project for Premium AEROTEC is the 1,400th car park contract for Goldbeck. Around every second above-ground multi-storey car park in Germany has been realised by Goldbeck. Daniel Kriest from Goldbeck comments on this milestone: "The 1,400th car park order is a special moment for us. This impressive figure not only reflects our experience, but also the trust that customers place in our expertise. This expertise is our most valuable asset and the basis for every new project."
