Architectural Draughtsperson
During your training as an architectural draughtsperson, you will gain a comprehensive insight into our construction processes. You will learn how initial sketches are converted into construction drawings using CAD programs, then calculate the requirement for construction materials based on this drawing work. Your cross-company training will take place in the areas of concrete and steel construction, masonry construction, timber construction as well as in the finishing trades (e.g. painting and varnishing, tiling, heating and plumbing work). The apprenticeship in architectural draughtsmanship combines creative and technical aspects. Digital options also play an increasingly greater role here.

You will design these construction elements using aluminium, steel, sheet metal and concrete and apply the correct dimensions to them. In the practical phase, you will then experience first-hand how the construction elements are produced based on your drawings, before learning to draw up parts lists and calculations for the construction site. Depending on the focus of your training, you will also learn how to design ventilation, heating and sanitary facilities or electrical systems.

Then it’s on to the practical side where you will work at various stations in our production facilities and industrial buildings. You will experience how construction elements for our buildings are created from raw materials and get to know various systems and machines – including CNC saw machines or robot-operated welding facilities.
This knowledge will be supplemented by cross-company phases where you will learn more about the areas of assembly or welding. After completing your training, you will be able to take over a broad range of tasks in production or continue your training to become a technician or master craftsperson.
