1/3  Battery factory

New construction meets existing buildings:
Module and pack production

In 2024, the first European battery factory for SVOLT, developer and producer of lithium-ion batteries and battery systems for electric vehicles, was built in Heusweiler. Pre-produced battery cells are processed into modules and packs at the site. On behalf of the project company Batteriefabrik Heusweiler, GOLDBECK realised around 36,000 m² of industrial building surface area in just 18 months. More than half of the area was used for the renovation of existing buildings. The factory building is heated using future-oriented heat pumps, has pre-equipment for a photovoltaic system and 20 charging points for e-mobility.
